On a Theorem of Marcinkiewicz and Zygmund
The purpose of the present paper is to prove the following result: Let F(P), P= (xi, x2, • ■ • , x„), be a function harmonic for xn >0 and such that for every point Q of a set £ of positive measure on the hyperplane x„ = 0 there exists a region contained in x„>0 limited by a cone with vertex at Q and a hyperplane x„ = const, where the function is bounded. Then except for a set of measure Zero, ...
متن کاملA noncommutative generalization of Auslander's last theorem
In 1966 [1], Auslander introduced a class of finitely generated modules having a certain complete resolution by projective modules. Then using these modules, he defined the G-dimension (G ostensibly for Gorenstein) of finitely generated modules. It seems appropriate then to call the modules of G-dimension 0 the Gorenstein projective modules. In [4], Gorenstein projective modules (whether finite...
متن کاملNoncommutative Sinkhorn theorem and generalizations
Our topic traces back to DEMING AND STEPHAN [1] who sought to reconcile an empirical joint distribution of two random variables with a priori known marginals for each and proposed an iterative scheme for determining a solution. Thus, in the case of finite probability spaces, the problem data consist of two probability vectors p0 and p1 together with the empirical joint probability matrix P = [p...
متن کاملAn Extension of the Marcinkiewicz Interpolation Theorem to Lorentz Spaces
V J o v J t f(y) ) " ) 7 V J o ~ ) • Third, previously open questions concerning the Marcinkiewicz Theorem are settled by showing our result is best possible. Consider complex-valued, measurable functions ƒ defined on a measure space (ikf, m). The distribution function of ƒ is defined by (2) X(y) = X/GO =m{xeM:\ ƒ(*) | > y}, y > 0. X(y) is nonincreasing and continuous from the right. The noninc...
متن کاملWitt's Theorem for Noncommutative Conic Curves
Let k be a field. We extend the main result in [10] to show that all homogeneous noncommutative curves of genus zero over k are noncommutative P1-bundles over a (possibly) noncommutative base. Using this result, we compute complete isomorphism invariants of homogeneous noncommutative curves of genus zero, allowing us to generalize a theorem of Witt.
